So what is etc.ng?
Shortly after I started Techsuplex, I realised that I wanted to write a lot more about other non-tech related stuff, writing on Techsuplex had sort of liberated the need to be more expressive, So I pondered with the idea of starting another blog to write stuff down.
A few weeks ago, the name etcetera popped in my mind, while thinking for a great name for everything else but tech that I felt like writing, and that’s how the name came about. If you catch me saying it means something else in the future–you know, the way we Nigerians for everything to have a literal meaning–call me out.
e.t.c is a magazine that covers modern culture, opinions and Lifestyle from a Nigerian perspective. It is wholly Nigerian, but we hope to keep it unnigerian–in the sense that we’ll be unique and different from what you are used to. Like with Techsuplex, we would try to push the boundaries of design while keeping the user experience at the top of our priority.
For the geeks, the design is an inspired by the question, what would Techsuplex be like if it wasn’t a tech blog? So we’ve ported many things you will be used to from Techsuplex…including:
Our Review Engine: Which lets you get the full gist of the review in one glance
Reader Reactions: Which help you express how you feel about the article with just a click
You can like a post too…just like Instagram!
The whole site is alive and you can see what articles are trending, filter the articles any way you want, and a lot more stuff which we’ll let you discover for yourself and you know what? This is just a beta, so we’re still working on a few features which we’ll quietly release.
I have already talked too much.
Thanks to everyone who’s contributed to this experiment and thanks to you too. Please let me know what you think or if you find any bugs.
